A video of actor Naseeruddin Shah went viral on social media amid the ongoing student protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar. It was claimed that he had reached there along with his son Vivaan Shah in support of the demonstration. Some social media posts said that Naseeruddin Shah did not make any public statement and silently stood leaning against a pillar and watched the students returning after the protest and police action. The video was shared widely with these claims. However, according to the report of Times of India, this video is not from Delhi, but from outside Regal Cinema in Colaba, Mumbai. In the video, Naseeruddin Shah is seen standing on the roadside with his son. This footage was first shared by an Instagram user named Rajesh Gaur. The video also shows the scene outside Regal Cinema by rotating the camera, where the films ‘Raja Shivaji’ and ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh 2’ were being screened. Ayushmann Khurrana, Vamika Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh are seen in the second film. At the same time, that part of the video was removed in the viral clip, which made it clear that Naseeruddin Shah was outside the theater and not at Jantar Mantar.
