Filmmaker Sandeep Singh is preparing to make his upcoming big historical film ‘The Pride of India: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’ on a big scale. Rishabh Shetty will be seen playing the role of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in the film. Now to make this film more special, the makers have included an international level action team, which will work on making the war and action scenes of the film spectacular. The war scenes are being made grand. The team that has been attached to make this period film grand is busy in preparing the war and action scenes of the film. Apart from the popular series ‘Game of Thrones’, Mark Henson, known for his action designs in ‘Vikings’, ‘The Witcher’ and the Oscar-winning film ‘Gravity’, will take charge of its action. Two more experienced names of Hollywood have also been included in the action team of the film. First is Vlad Rimberg, who has worked on projects like ‘The Fate of the Furious’, ‘Bloodshot’ and ‘Lucifer’, second is Craig McCray, who has been famous for ‘Troy: Fall of a City’. The makers claim that this team will create one of the biggest war scenes of Indian historical cinema. Vivek Oberoi will be seen in the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. This film, being made with a budget of around Rs 500 crore, will be released in two parts. Apart from Rishabh, Arjun Rampal, Vivek Oberoi and Shefali Shah will also be seen playing important roles in it. In the film, Shefali will be seen in the role of her mother Rajmata Jijabai, while Vivek is playing the role of Mughal emperor Aurangzeb. Arjun will be seen as the main villain of the film. The makers claim that all the characters will be portrayed on screen in a comprehensive manner as per the historical context. Most of the shooting will take place in the historical forts of Maharashtra. Most of the shooting of the film will be done at various historical forts and locations in Maharashtra, where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj laid the foundation of the Maratha Empire. The makers aim to show the war, forts and historical surroundings as close to reality as possible. The film will be released in multiple languages including Hindi, English, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Marathi. It aims to reach the Indian audience as well as the international market. This film can be released in theaters on 21 January 2027. So far, more than 60 projects have been made on Chhatrapati in film and TV. Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, who established the Maratha Empire in the 17th century, is counted among the most inspirational warriors in Indian history. So far, more than 60 projects in film and television have been made on his life. It started with the silent film ‘Singhgarh’ released in 1923. The makers say that ‘The Pride of India: Chhatrapati…’ will bring this historical heritage to the audience on a new scale.
