Vamika-Mithila became debtors due to Akshay’s prank in Bhoot Bungalow: Games, bonding and discipline on the set gave a memorable experience.

Vamika Gabbi and Mithila Palkar, included in the star cast of the horror-comedy film ‘Bhoot Bangla’, have shared their shooting experiences in a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar. Both of them told that while on one side there was professional discipline on the set, on the other side there was no dearth of fun and light-hearted atmosphere. Akshay Kumar’s funny pranks and the bonding of the entire team made the shoot memorable. Also, both the actresses have also spoken openly about their journey, initial struggles and their experiences in the industry. How was the environment on the set during the shooting of the film? Vamika Gabbi- Absolutely, from outside it seems that everything must have happened in fun. But actually very serious work was also going on on the set. Yes, there was a lot of fun and that atmosphere made us more comfortable. For me, it had become a family-like experience. How is your character? Is this a typical sister or will there be some twist in it? Mithila Palkar- I would not like to tell much, you will know only after watching the film. But yes, this is a sister who whatever her wish, her brother definitely fulfills it. That is the beauty in their relationship. How was the experience working with such big actors like Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and director Priyadarshan? Vamika Gabbi- There was a little intimidation in the beginning because I have always seen her on screen. But he made the atmosphere on the set so easy and comfortable that I never felt that I was working with such great people. Everyone was very supportive. Living among such talented people is a lesson in itself. His energy, his way of working, everything was very inspiring. Did you face any challenges while preparing for your character? Mithila Palkar- No, because Priyadarshan sir made everything very easy. He guided me in everything, like hand-holding. My only fear was to perform in front of such big artists, but he made that easy too. The experience of working with such a big star cast and your personal journey from YouTube to films, how do you see it? Mithila Palkar- To be honest, I can’t believe it. Working with so many legends is like a dream. There was a little fear in the beginning, but everyone accepted with great love. As far as my journey is concerned, my only goal was always to become a good actor. Internet has given me a lot and because of that I also got this opportunity. I just want to do good work, no matter what language or platform it is. How was your experience of Akshay Kumar’s famous pranks on the sets? Have you also ever become their victim? Vamika Gabbi- There was a scene where I had to jump on the table. I was giving the shot with full preparation, then Akshay sir gave me a slight push and I was completely shocked! Everyone started laughing and I then realized that it was a prank. Apart from this, we all used to play cards, Ludo and different games on the set. Also used to play a laser game, in which one had to aim at the box placed above. By losing it, I had become ‘in debt’ of about Rs 12,000! Mithila Palkar- No, he did not do any prank with me. Maybe he was like a protective brother. But we used to play a lot of games on the sets like Ludo. I lost a lot of money in that! But on the last day, while playing with Akshay sir, I won everything and my ‘debt’ was cleared.
