Omar Nasir said that the emotions shown in ‘I will be back’ are very close to his heart. Actually, he himself is making a film named ‘Chor Aaye Hum’ on the background of Partition. His upcoming film also shows the same feeling of memories, belongingness and returning to the homeland. Umar said that as he had expected from Imtiaz Ali, he has brought exactly the same wonderful cinema on screen. Naseer’s acting was appreciated. The Pakistani filmmaker also praised the work of the film’s actors and technical team. He described the acting of veteran actor Naseeruddin Shah, playing the lead role in the film, as extraordinary. Along with this, he praised the work of the film’s editor Aarti Bajaj and called it a masterclass in cinematic storytelling. The film’s earnings increased at the box office. According to film tracking website Sacknilk, ‘I will return’ has done more business on Monday than its opening day i.e. Friday. The film started with Rs 1.15 crore on Friday, after which it earned Rs 1.85 crore on Saturday and Rs 2.50 crore on Sunday. On Monday, the film collected Rs 1.25 crore from 2,139 shows across the country. The total net collection of the film in India has become Rs 6.75 crore and gross collection has become Rs 8.10 crore. The story of the incomplete journey of three generations, the story of the film shows the emotional journey of three generations, in which the wounds of partition are presented along with a love story. The story revolves around a Sikh family who comes to India from Sargodha, Pakistan. Young Keanu (Vedang Raina) gets separated from his girlfriend Afsana (Sharvari) at the time of partition. Nearly 70 years later, 95-year-old Keanu (Naseeruddin Shah) wants to go back to Sargodha one last time at the end of his life. His grandson Nirvair (Diljit Dosanjh) helps him in this journey. Apart from Pakistani directors, Bollywood filmmakers Zoya Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap and Anubhav Sinha have also praised the film. Zoya Akhtar congratulated the entire team on social media. Anubhav Sinha wrote that every frame of Imtiaz’s film shows his faith in art. This film is the second film of Imtiaz Ali and Diljit Dosanjh, before which both have worked together in ‘Amar Singh Chamkila’.
