Singer Alka Yagnik has been honored with Padma Bhushan on 23 June. Many pictures and videos of the singer were revealed from the ceremony. In a video, the singer was seen sitting on a wheelchair, which worried her fans. Amid speculations about deteriorating health, the singer himself has now clarified that his recovery is going on. Alka Yagnik has written from the official Instagram account – Thank you for everyone’s love, concern and good wishes. Many people have expressed concern about my health after watching a video of the ceremony. I want to tell everyone that I am absolutely fine and my recovery is going well. The entire day at the Padma Award ceremony was busy and emotional, due to which I was quite tired. That’s why I took the help of a wheelchair while leaving. Singer further wrote, ‘Please don’t worry. Now I am feeling much better than before. I am deeply grateful to all of you for your prayers and support, who have always given me courage. I heartily thank the Honorable President of India, the Honorable Prime Minister, the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Government of India for this honour. Alka Yagnik is rare. Singer Alka Yagnik is suffering from hearing problem for the last 2 years, due to which she has been advised to stay away from loud music. While giving information about this, she had written on her official social media account, ‘A few weeks ago, I suddenly lost my hearing. It happened. After gathering courage for several weeks, many people were asking why I was not able to see. It was a rare disease called sensory neuralgia. It was a sudden problem for which I was not prepared.
