Today is the fifth death anniversary of veteran actor late Dilip Kumar. On this occasion, his wife and former actress Saira Banu has shared an emotional note on social media. 81 year old Saira Banu has posted many old pictures of herself with Dilip Kumar on Instagram. He wrote that even though Dilip Sahab has gone away from his sight, he has never gone away from his life. Saira described the time spent with Dilip Kumar as the most beautiful and complete part of her life. Told about memories, Saira Banu, the most loyal companion, wrote in her post that the most beautiful thing about life is that it never ends completely, but remains in memories. Unlike time, memories are the most faithful companions. She returns uninvited and brings back every smile, every look and every word as if nothing was lost. Remembering someone is the greatest proof that they have never been forgotten. Dilip Sahab left a treasure of memories. Remembering Dilip Kumar, Saira wrote that I feel that Sahab has given me a big treasure before leaving this world. This treasure is of his memories, which is so rich that I will spend the rest of my life living amidst these memories. He further wrote that on July 7, 2021, Dilip Kumar left not only me but the entire world that loved him. His demise left a void in his family, friends and the cinema world that cannot be expressed in words. While talking about her relationship with Dilip Kumar, Saira Banu wrote that he was a big star for the world, but for me he was the support of my life and my calm strength. Our life was not limited to just living together, but it was completely successful. Five years have passed since Saheb’s departure, but he never went away from my life. Such deep love does not succumb to time. They live in my memories every day. Saira fell in love with Dilip Kumar at the age of 12-13. Earlier, in an interview given to Dainik Bhaskar, Saira ji had said, ‘I was 12-13 years old when I saw him for the first time. As soon as I saw him for the first time, I told my mother that when I grow up, I will marry this man. When he used to come out in white kurta and pajamas with folded hands, it seemed as if an angel was coming and not a human being. I am very lucky that I was able to marry him, otherwise there were many beautiful girls in the country at that time, who were ready to die for him. The pair of both is considered an example. The pair of Dilip Kumar and Saira Banu is considered one of the strongest pairs of Bollywood. Both of them got married in the year 1966 and Saira always remained with Dilip Kumar till his last days. Even when Dilip Kumar was ill, Saira took complete care of him. When Dilip Kumar was alive, big Bollywood stars like Aamir Khan and Shah Rukh Khan often used to visit him at his house. Dilip Kumar died on 7 July 2021 at the age of 98 after a prolonged illness.
