There was an uproar in the live concert of Punjabi and Bollywood singer Diljit Dosanjh in Canada. Khalistan supporters reached the ‘Aura-2026’ live concert in Vancouver and started showing flags and shouting slogans.

When the security stopped them, Khalistan supporters started arguing with them also. Then a poster was released calling Diljit Dosanjh an agent of BJP-RSS. Alleged that Diljit is working to bring Sikhs living abroad closer to BJP-RSS.
Khalistan supporters did not stop here and warned of creating ruckus in Diljit’s future programs also. According to the information, Pawandeep Singh Bassi and Mandeep Singh Ravi, who are associated with terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannu’s Sikh for Justice, were leading the sloganeering in Vancouver.
Actually, Diljit Dosanjh’s live concert was in Vancouver on 23 April. Here Khalistan supporters raised anti-India slogans besides Khalistan Zindabad and later made and released a video in which sharp attacks were made on Diljit Dosanjh.

- Daljeet is singing on stage: At the beginning of the video, Diljit Dosanjh is performing in his Vancouver show. Diljit sings a song on stage with his team. The audience is also seen dancing along with the song.
- Slogans of Khalistan Zindabad: Amidst the singing of Diljit Dosanjh’s song, some people in the public took out Khalistan flags and started raising slogans of Khalistan Zindabad. He started shouting loudly. People also tried to stop him but he did not stop.
- Clash with security: It can be seen in the video that Khalistan supporters are raising anti-India slogans and were holding Khalistan banners in their hands. When the security personnel saw them, they stopped the Khalistan supporters. He started clashing with the security personnel regarding this matter. After that the security threw him out.
- Accused of being a Modi supporter: The video shows Diljit Dosanjh with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amitabh Bachchan and describes him as a “supporter of the Government of India”. Khalistan supporter said that Singer is working for RSS-BJP, hence he is opposing the programs of Diljit Dosanjh.
- Warning of protest in programs: Khalistan supporters have given a direct threat to Diljit Dosanjh in the video that he will be opposed in the next programs also. He has also given the dates of Dosanjh’s upcoming programs.

Threat to create ruckus in the next show
Khalistan supporters attacked Diljit Dosanjh and said that he is setting up the base of RSS-BJP in the country and abroad for PM Modi. Khalistan supporters threatened that they will go to Diljit’s other shows and create similar ruckus. Khalistan supporters said that the protest started in Vancouver will be continued in other programs also. Khalistan supporters say that protests will also be held in Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Illinois, Florida, Texas, New York, California.
There was controversy earlier also regarding Diljit.
1. Touching Amitabh Bachchan’s feet in KBC: The biggest controversy of the year 2025 started when Diljit Dosanjh reached the sets of ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati’ (KBC) and touched the feet of Amitabh Bachchan and took his blessings. Terrorist organization ‘Sikh for Justice’ (SFJ) and Gurpatwant Singh Pannu strongly condemned this. Alleged that Diljit was honoring those people whose names came into controversy during the 1984 Sikh riots. After this, Pannu started targeting Diljit.
2. Accused of being the ‘poster boy of India’: During the 2025 tour, many fundamentalist organizations launched a campaign against Diljit on social media. He was called an “agent of the Government of India” and a “supporter of the BJP-RSS”. The organizations alleged that Diljit was using his popularity to improve the image of the Indian government abroad and to make inroads for the central government among the Sikh community.
3. Controversy regarding tricolor and nationalism: During some shows of the last tour, Diljit proudly waved the Indian tricolor and expressed his pride. Khalistan supporters tried to term it as an “anti-Sikh” act. He argued that Diljit should only promote Punjabi identity and not Indian nationalism.
4. Sloganeering during Sydney and Melbourne shows: When Diljit was performing in Australia in late 2025, some small groups demonstrated outside the stadium carrying Khalistani flags.
5. Social Media War and Threats: Pannu released many videos during the ‘Aura’ tour taking place in many big countries of the world. In these videos, Diljit was warned to stop pushing “India’s agenda”, otherwise his global shows would be disrupted.
