Actor Prakash Raj is embroiled in controversies over his statements regarding Ramayana and God and a case has been registered against him. Actually, a video of Prakash Raj from Kerala Literature Festival (KLF) is going viral on social media, in which the actor is seen narrating the story of an imaginary Ramayana written by children. Raj said that Lord Ram, Lakshman and Sita were going towards the south. Lakshman expressed happiness after seeing the forest on the way. On this Ram said that this is someone’s field. Lakshman asked whether the fruits grown there could be eaten or not. Ram replied that he can eat fruits when he is hungry. He further said that when they started eating the fruits, Shurpanakha and Ravana reached there. Shurpanakha objected to this, but Ravana said that they were hungry, they should be allowed to eat and would talk later. According to Prakash Raj, after eating the fruit, Ram told Lakshman that some tribals had come. To this Ravana replied that he is the master. After this the conversation proceeded. Mention of GST and exemption in the story Prakash Raj also added the reference of GST in his story. He said that Ram asked to give money after eating the fruit. On this, Shurpanakha calculated and said 2000 dollars including GST. Ram and Lakshman said that they had no money. After this Ravana asked to give 20% discount, but even then he did not have money. On this Ravana said that if you cannot pay the money then compensate it by working. They were told to plant the seeds of the fruits they had eaten, prepare trees and then return. In the video, Prakash Raj further said that Ravana asked, ‘What is your name?’ To this the reply was, ‘I am Ram from the North,’ and Ravana said, ‘I am Ravana from the South, nice to meet you.’ Comment video on Hindi language and food Prakash Raj also commented on the North-South issue. He said that people coming from North India should not try to impose Hindi in South India. He also commented on food habits and said that no one should tell what to eat. Advocate Amita Sachdeva lodged a complaint against the actor in the South District Cyber Cell of Delhi Police regarding his statement. Sachdeva told on social media platform He said that Prakash Raj has made fun of Lord Shri Ram and the Holy Ramayana during the Kerala Literature Festival. Sachdeva said in her post that she will pursue this matter seriously and such cases will no longer be tolerated. He also said that there is a limit to insulting religious sentiments and it is important to understand it.
