Her husband Veer Sahu has come out in support of Haryanvi singer and dancer Sapna Choudhary, who is embroiled in obscene content controversy after the video of Jat movement riot fugitive Dharmendra Hooda. After the Khap Panchayat held in Rohtak’s Maham Chaubisi, Veer Sahu said, “The platform of Maham Chaubisi has its own dignity. If someone comes here and digs a personal hole, then no one can be more disgraceful than him. No one should use the platform of Khap to bake his political bread.”
Veer Sahu said that Dharmendra Hooda has a different way of expressing his views on social media, but he should maintain decorum in his language. It is everyone’s right to protest, but there is a way to protest. He also clarified that he has no personal conversation or contact with Dharmendra Hooda.
Dharmendra Hooda had released a video accusing Sapna Chaudhary of spoiling the girls of Haryana. Hooda had said that some actresses and dancers are responsible for the obscenity and vulgarity that is spreading through dance and social media in Haryana. After this, the Khaps had called a Mahapanchayat to discuss this issue.

Because of Sapna, girls of Haryana have started dancing on stages, rooftops and streets and this situation has happened because of her.
- Target on the statement ‘Men are nothing’: Referring to Sapna Chaudhary’s statement that “men are nothing”, Dharmendra Hooda said – she is commenting on the same men who made her a star. He claimed that it was the viewers like Kaka-Tau of the village who made Sapna Choudhary popular. Only men used to spend (give) ₹100 each on you.
- Mention of ₹20 crore fraud case: Dharmendra Hooda claimed – Sapna Chaudhary filed a case against Veer Sahu after having two children and had also complained about her safety. There are fraud cases against Sapna Chaudhary worth Rs 15 to 20 crores and if I am wrong then you can file a defamation case against me.

Sapna approached the court
The controversy became public when Sapna Chaudhary filed a petition under the Domestic Violence Act in Delhi’s Dwarka Mahila Court. She alleged that she was beaten and abused several times during her married life. Sapna says that the situation had become so bad that she had to leave her in-laws.
Anxiety increased before the premiere of the film ‘Momaku’
Advocate Preeti Singh, on behalf of Sapna, argued in the court that her film ‘Momaku’ is going to be released soon and its premiere is also going to happen. In such a situation, Sapna needs protection. Veer Sahu can create a ruckus by attending a public event or a film premiere. This may affect Sapna’s safety and her work.
Magistrate ordered no contact
Judicial Magistrate Nidhi Singh ordered that Veer Sahu will not contact Sapna Choudhary through any means till the next hearing. He has also been prevented from going to Sapna’s house, workplace or her surroundings. The court also made it clear that the defendants will not indulge in any form of domestic violence or harassment. The court has ordered the concerned protection officer and the local police station in-charge (SHO) to ensure compliance with the court’s instructions.
