Bollywood’s perfectionist actor Aamir Khan recently revealed in an interview that since childhood, he was less interested in watching films and used to read books most of the time. Aamir told that his childhood was spent in a very conservative family, where he was not allowed to watch romantic films and other common films.

In an interview given to Variety India, Aamir Khan said- I was more interested in reading since childhood. I regularly watched only black-and-white or old-fashioned movies which came on Doordarshan. At that time watching movies was prohibited in our house. If I ever asked my mother for permission to watch a movie, romantic movies were not allowed.

He also revealed that he used to watch movies only on weekends, and those too mostly included movies of old stars like Ashok Kumar and Dilip Kumar. Aamir said that he watches very few films. He considers himself a reader, and also said that he makes films, but watches very few.

Aamir said jokingly – Some people play football and some watch football. Same is the case with my films. I make films but spend very little time watching them. I am not even aware of recent Hollywood movies. I live in my own world.

Talking about work front, Aamir Khan’s production film ‘Ek Din’ will be released in theaters on May 1. This film is being directed by Sunil Pandey and stars his son Junaid Khan and Sai Pallavi in ​​the lead roles.

Apart from this, Aamir’s second production film ‘Lahore 1947’ is also in the pipeline. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is set in the Partition of India and stars Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shabana Azmi, Karan Deol and Ali Fazal. This film will be released on 13th August.
