Nampally Court of Hyderabad has issued summons to Telugu film star Allu Arjun to appear in person in the court. This legal action is related to the stampede that took place during the special show of his film ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’ in December 2024, in which a woman was killed.
In the charge sheet filed by the police, Allu Arjun has been made accused number 11 (A11). The court has ordered the actor and other accused to appear in person on June 22 for the hearing of this case of negligence in crowd management and security failure.
Allu Arjun becomes accused number 11 in the charge sheet The police have filed a detailed charge sheet in the court regarding this accident. According to ANI report, a total of 23 people have been named in this charge sheet. In this, people associated with the management of Sandhya Theater have been made accused numbers 1 to 10 (A1 to A10), while Allu Arjun has been listed as accused number 11 (A11). Proceeding further in the case, the court has issued notices to 19 accused and directed them to appear before the court.
The accident happened in December 2024 This entire matter is of 4th December 2024. At that time, a benefit show was organized at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad on the occasion of the release of the film ‘Pushpa 2’. During this show, more people had gathered in the theater premises than the capacity. Due to the situation going out of control, there was a huge stampede there.
In this accident, a woman named Revathi lost her life, while her son was seriously injured. After this incident, there was a lot of debate in the film industry regarding crowd control at such events.
Crowd had gathered to see Allu Arjun According to police investigation, Allu Arjun himself had reached the theater on the day of the accident. A huge crowd of fans ran towards the entry gate of the theater to see him, due to which the pressure there increased and the security system completely failed. In the charge sheet, the negligence of theater officials, security guards and event management people has been cited as the main reason for the accident. However, after this incident, Allu Arjun contacted the victim’s family and also provided financial and medical help for the treatment of the injured child.
Allu was arrested on December 13 in the stampede case.
Allu Arjun was arrested at 12 noon on 13 December in the stampede case that took place on 4 December. After his arrest, he was produced in the local court at 4 o’clock, from where he was sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Allu had appealed to the Telangana High Court for interim bail. He was granted interim bail at 5 pm on a personal bond of Rs 50,000. Meanwhile, Allu was taken to Chanchalguda Central Jail.
The actor was released from Chanchalguda Central Jail the next day at around 6.30 am on Saturday. During this period, Allu remained in custody for about 18 hours.
There was a press conference after the release
After the release, Allu Arjun said in a press conference, ‘This was all an accident. I went to the theater with my family to watch a movie. This incident happened outside. This incident has no direct connection with me. I am absolutely with the woman’s family, I will help them in whatever way possible.’ Allu Arjun further said, ‘I have gone to that cinema hall more than 30 times in the last 20 years. But this has not happened till date. This has happened absolutely unfortunately. I am very sorry about this incident.
