Mouni Roy and Sooraj Nambiar’s divorce: Decision to separate after 4 years of marriage; Said- marriage ended with mutual consent

Actress Mouni Roy and businessman Sooraj Nambiar have now officially confirmed their divorce amid reports of rift. On Thursday, Mouni and Sooraj released a joint note on Instagram saying that they are ending their marriage. Both have demanded privacy in this difficult time and have also expressed displeasure over the news going on in the media. Mouni and Sooraj have closed the comments section while sharing the post on Instagram. He wrote in the caption, “We humbly request everyone to give us privacy and dignity. Do not spread any false stories about me or Sooraj. Hope you will give us personal time in these difficult times.” Said- Decision taken with mutual consent. In their note, the couple said that they have decided to move forward with mutual understanding and respect. They wrote, “There is unnecessary interference in our personal lives by certain sections of the media. We have mutually decided to part ways and are taking time to resolve this matter privately.” They further said that the things that are being spread are far from the reality and they will try to maintain their friendship in future also. Talks of rift started due to unfollowing. These news of divorce started when fans noticed that Mouni and Sooraj had unfollowed each other on Instagram. The matter was not limited to just unfollowing, Suraj has also deleted many old wedding pictures from his profile. However, some pictures are still available on Mouni’s profile. The first meeting took place in Dubai in 2018. The relationship between Mouni Roy and Dubai businessman Suraj Nambiar started in 2018. Both of them met for the first time in Dubai and dated each other for about four years. After this, they got married on 27 January 2022 in Goa. Their wedding was much talked about as they performed the rituals as per both Malayali and Bengali customs.
