Stand-up comedian Harsh Gujral will soon be seen in the TV show ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi 15’. In a special conversation with Dainik Bhaskar, Harsh told that his real fear was not of height or water, but of leaving his job and coming into full-time comedy. He said that it is not easy for a middle class boy to follow passion. Question: How much excitement is there about ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’? Answer: There is a lot of excitement, but right now we do not know what kind of dangers are going to come there. There will definitely be stunts involving water, fire and height, but this time the theme is ‘New Age of Fear’. This means that something new is definitely going to happen. Now how to deal with those new threats will be known only by going there. Question: How will you handle yourself among contestants with strong personality like Rubina Dilaik? Answer: When such contestants are saying something, move away from the side (laughs). When the teacher scolded us in school, we used to listen. I think he also has his own sense of humor. Have your own way of thinking. His nature is like this. We will go to the show laughing like this and will happily figure out everything, so I think it is going to be fun. Question: What was your biggest fear in real life? Answer: To tell the truth, I was most afraid about my career. When I quit my job around 2018 and started full-time comedy, there was a lot of fear. It is not easy for a middle class boy to follow passion. Every morning after waking up, I felt that ‘Brother, is everything going well, isn’t it?’ Even family members used to say that job will be lost, salary will not come, nothing will happen in comedy, everyone will come on the streets, this will happen, that will happen, but ever since I have become famous, no one has come out on the streets (laughs). Question: What was the reaction of the family when they came to know that you were going to do ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’? Answer: Mother held my hand and said, leave it. I said, why should I let it be? Let’s see what happens there. When I go for my show, my mother says, come on time. In this, mother is saying, son, come (laughing). Mother has already been watching ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’. That’s why they know how dangerous each stunt is. Where is the water, where is the fire and what else can happen. Question: Has comedy made you mentally strong? Answer: Absolutely. Comedy has made us very strong. Mentally as well as physically. In the end, life is also a kind of stunt. If you are mentally strong, even difficult things seem easy. Question: What was the reaction of your comedy fraternity regarding the show? Answer: In my fraternity, only Anubhav Singh Bassi talks to me. Everyone else might not be feeling good either (laughs). Bassi Bhai had asked, ‘Will you be able to do it?’ I said- ‘Yes brother, we will do it.’ On his advice, I have also built a little more body.
