President Draupadi Murmu honored 66 personalities with Padma awards.
President Draupadi Murmu has honored 66 personalities with the Padma Award. Late film star Dharmendra was the first to be honored with Padma Vibhushan. His wife, actress-MP Hema Malini, received the honour.
Women’s cricket team captain Harmanpreet was honored with Padma Shri. Under his leadership, the team won the ODI World Cup this year.
A total of 131 celebrities are to be given Padma Awards in the year 2026, 65 winners will be honored in the next phase, the dates of which have not been revealed yet.
Puducherry The famous Silambam Guru K. Pajnivel was awarded the Padma Shri award for his contribution to traditional martial arts in India. Before going to receive the honour, he lay down on the ground and bowed to PM Modi.
Padma award posthumously to Dharmendra and Piyush Pandey
When Hema received this honour, tears welled up in her daughter Ahana’s eyes.
Hema Malini received the award in place of film star Dharmendra.
President Draupadi Murmu honored well-known advertising personality Piyush Pandey with the Padma Bhushan award. His wife Neeta Joshi received the award.

Of. Pajnivel was awarded the Padmashree award for his contribution to the field of traditional martial arts. He bowed down to PM Modi while lying on the ground.
Senior journalist Kailash Chandra Pant received the Padma Shri award at the age of 90 for his contribution in the promotion of Hindi language.
