Demand for FIR against Sanjay Leela Bhansali: Worker died due to electric shock on the set of Love and War, Association said – give compensation of Rs 1 crore

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Love and War is embroiled in controversy after an accident on the sets. The shooting of the film was going on at Royal Pump Studio near Mumbai Film City, where 42-year-old carpenter Chandradhari Singh Yadav died due to electric shock. After the accident, Bhansali Production had announced a compensation of Rs 40 lakh, however now AICWA (All India Cine Workers Association) has filed a complaint against Sanjay Leela Bhansali demanding action and said that a compensation of Rs 1 crore should be given to the victim’s family. The association wrote a letter to Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis demanding an FIR to be registered against Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Giving information about this, the association has posted on social media, ‘This incident has raised serious questions regarding the adherence to safety measures on film shooting sets. Surprisingly, even on the sets of this mega budget film with big stars like Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal and Alia Bhatt, mandatory safety rules were not followed, due to which an employee died tragically. If the necessary safety arrangements had been strictly implemented and properly followed, it is possible that this tragic accident could have been avoided. 3 major accidents have happened on the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali so far. The association has claimed that this is not the only case of such incident. Earlier, during the shooting of Devdas, employee Deendayal Yadav died, while another was seriously injured. Apart from this, 34 year old Mukesh Dakia has also died during the shooting of Padmavat film. This is also the demand of the association – Short circuit occurred in the set, death occurred on the spot. On June 17, Sanjay Leela was shooting at Royal Pump Studio near Bhansali Film City. Apart from Alia Bhatt, many crew members were also present on the set. At the same time, there was a short circuit in the set and 42 year old Chandradhari Singh Yadav fell there due to electric shock. He was a carpenter by profession.
