Bollywood Brief: Marathi films benefit from Shahrukh’s generosity; Black Deer maker Amit Jani received threat, teaser of Sunny Deol’s ‘Partition 1947’ released

Film producer Amit Jani has claimed that he has received a threatening call from alleged terrorist Shehzad Bhatti. Amit Jani has given information about this matter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Rajasthan DGP UR Sahu through email. According to Jani, this threat is related to his upcoming film ‘Black Deer: The Battle for Legacy’. The film is said to be inspired by the black buck hunting case involving actor Salman Khan.

There has been controversy since the release of the teaser of this film. Actor Salman Khan has moved the Delhi High Court to ban the film, alleging violation of his personality rights. This matter is to be heard in the court on June 19.

Marathi film made record earnings with the help of Shahrukh Khan Director of Marathi film ‘Deul Band 2’, Pravin Tarde has credited the huge success of the film to the generosity of actor Shahrukh Khan. The film has collected more than Rs 80 crore at the worldwide box office. With this it has become the fourth highest grossing Marathi film of all time. Tarde told that Digital Cinema Package (DCP) was required to show the film in theaters, for which he had approached Shahrukh Khan’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment.

According to the director, he had kept a budget of Rs 12 lakh for this work, but the final expenditure came to Rs 42 lakh. Tarde did not have enough money to pay Red Chillies, but Shah Rukh Khan’s production house helped him so that the film could be released on time.

Teaser of Sunny Deol’s film ‘Bantwara 1947’ released Actors Aamir Khan and Sunny Deol are coming up with a new story ‘Partition 1947’ based on the backdrop of Partition. The first teaser of this film was released on Thursday, in which scenes from the time of partition of the country are shown. This one minute five second teaser starts with Aamir Khan’s voiceover. Aamir tells how India got independence after 200 years of struggle, but the country also had to suffer the pain of partition.

The teaser shows a glimpse of the characters of Shabana Azmi, Preity Zinta and Ali Fazal amid the riots. At the end of the video, Sunny Deol is seen facing the rioters. Sunny’s son Karan Deol is also included in this film. This film will be released in theaters on August 14 this year.
