After the Bombay High Court refused to recognize Anita Advani’s relationship with Rajesh Khanna as marriage, Anita has now expressed her displeasure. In a recent interview, he described the court’s decision as a ‘gross travesty of justice’.
Anita has made it clear that she will not back down from this legal battle and will continue to fight for her dignity. He said that he is not one of those people who sit at home out of fear. Actually Anita Advani had claimed that she was in a live-in relationship with Rajesh Khanna for more than 10 years.
He had appealed to the Bombay High Court to recognize this relationship as a ‘valid marriage’. However, on April 1, 2026, the court rejected his application.
‘How can a decision be taken without a trial?’ Anita Advani expressed disappointment over the court’s stance. She said, “I am not tired and will never be tired. I am not one of those cowards or spineless people who will remain silent against injustice.”
He raised the question why even after 14 years he did not get a chance to prove his case? According to Anita, it is wrong to give the verdict of a civil case without any proper trial or testimony.
Demanded rights like wife in domestic violence law During the interview, Anita clarified her legal position. He said, “I had asked for the right to be a wife as a married person, not the right to marry. There is a difference between the two.” According to their argument, live-in relationship is recognized equal to wife under the Domestic Violence Act.
He claimed that if two adults live together as husband and wife, they should be considered in a relationship in the nature of marriage.
‘We were not allowed to meet in the hospital, the will also went missing’ Anita also shared the pain of Rajesh Khanna’s last days. He alleged that the superstar’s family did not even allow him to meet him in the hospital. It was claimed by the family that Rajesh Khanna himself did not want to meet them, which Anita called a blatant lie.
He made another big claim saying that Rajesh Khanna had made a will in which he had rights, but it went missing.
Mangalsutra was worn in a private ceremony Reiterating her earlier claims, Anita said that her relationship with the superstar was not something to hide. She told that a small and private ceremony took place in the home temple, in which Rajesh Khanna applied vermillion on her and made her wear Mangalsutra.
Anita became emotional and said that she was with Rajesh Khanna not for his money, but because of love. She said the abuse she faced was very painful and she just wants her honor back.
