Anil Kapoor recently remembered the struggling days of his father and film producer Surinder Kapoor. He told that after a film flopped, the industry had distanced itself from his father. During that period, Surinder Kapoor was so broken that he used to cry many times.
Anil Kapoor said this in Lily Singh’s podcast. He told that his father was a very honest and simple person. But success and failure in the film industry quickly change relationships. According to him, his father had made a film with superstar Rajesh Khanna, which flopped at the box office. After this people started avoiding him.
Anil Kapoor said, “I have seen my father breaking down. People suddenly turned away from him. He used to cry and was very upset.” The actor told that this incident affected him deeply. Then he decided that he would make his name in films and fulfill his father’s dream.
He also told that his father never tried to launch him. Surinder Kapoor believed that if Anil wanted to survive in the industry, he would have to create an identity on his own. Anil did small roles in the initial days, faced rejections and established himself after a long struggle.
Anil Kapoor said that his father’s failures taught him to work hard. He realized that people in the film industry stand out only with success. This was the reason why he remained serious about his work and fulfilled every opportunity with complete honesty.
