Amitabh Bachchan on Sunday shared behind the scenes (BTS) pictures from the sets of his upcoming film ‘Kalki 2’ and told that he is shooting in Hyderabad. He expressed his excitement about working with Kamal Haasan again after almost 40 years. Both were last seen together in the 1985 film ‘Girftaar’.
Let us tell you that both Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan acted in the film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, but they were not seen together in a single scene.
Actually, these days Amitabh Bachchan is shooting the sequel of the film ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ in Hyderabad. He shared some pictures from the set on his blog. In the photos, he is seen in the look of his character Ashwatthama, in which prosthetic makeup is visible on his face.
He also posted a picture with Kamal Haasan. In the photo, both are seen hugging and talking to each other. Sharing the picture, Amitabh wrote, “Meeting the great Kamal Haasan… Will work together after a long time… Last time we were together in Arrest.”
Amitabh Bachchan apologized to fans
Due to the shooting of the film, Amitabh Bachchan could not meet his fans this Sunday. Regarding this he wrote, “Told them that I will not be able to come this Sunday because there is shooting in Hyderabad… But still they came to confirm… Sorry, work first, everything else later.”
He further wrote that ‘Kalki 2’ has started and he will cherish the love and affection he receives on Sunday.
Amitabh Bachchan also shared pictures of fans standing outside his house.
Amitabh received Filmfare Award for Kalki 2898 AD
The film Kalki 2898 AD was released on 27 June 2024. It was a resounding success at the box office, earning over ₹1,000 crore worldwide.
At the same time, recently at the Filmfare Awards South (Telugu) 2026, the film won two awards, Amitabh Bachchan won the Best Supporting Actor (Male) award. Nitin Giani Chaudhary received the award for Best Production Design.
