Actor Bharat Kapoor died on Monday. At the age of 80, he breathed his last at his home in Mumbai. He worked in more than 200 films, including Amitabh Bachchan starrer Aakhri Raasta and Khuda Gawah, in a career spanning nearly four decades. He played negative roles in films like Noori, Aakhri Raasta, Bazaar, Inkaar, Ram Balram. According to Aaj Tak reports, Bharat Kapoor died due to multiple organ failure. Actor Avtar Gill confirmed the death of Bharat Kapoor to news agency ANI. He told that Bharat Kapoor was ill for the last two-three days. He was at home and died around 3 pm on Monday afternoon. Avtar Gill said that he had received a call from Bharat Kapoor’s son around 4 to 4:30 pm. He also told that Bharat Kapoor had stopped working a long time ago. His last rites were performed yesterday evening in the presence of family members and close friends. Bharat Kapoor, who worked in many films like Noori, started his acting career in 1972. He worked in several Hindi films, including Noori (1979), Ram Balram (1980), Love Story (1981), Bazaar (1982), Ghulami (1985), Aakhri Raasta (1986), Satyamev Jayate (1987), Swarg (1990), Khuda Gawah (1992) and Rang (1993). Bharat Kapoor also appeared in TV shows. Bharat Kapoor also worked in films like Barsaat (1995), Saajan Chale Sasural (1996) and Meenakshi: A Tale of Three Cities (2004). Apart from films, he also worked in television. He appeared in shows like Campus, Parampara, Rahat, Saans, Amanat, Tara, Challenge and Kahaani Chandrakanta Ki.
