Aamir Khan confirmed the news of his marriage with girlfriend Gauri Spratt on Thursday. This will be Aamir’s third marriage.
Speaking to Variety India, he said, ‘I am currently in America. The news of marriage is true. Our wedding will take place on 5th July.
A few months ago, Aamir had said that marriage is not his priority and he is happy with Gauri like this, but now he says that their feelings have changed with time.
Aamir said, ‘Now we both feel that the time has come to take our relationship to the next level.’
He further said, ‘Gauri and I are serious about each other. We are in a strong relationship. In my heart I already consider myself her husband. Now naming this relationship marriage is a natural next beginning for us.
Aamir first married film producer Reena Dutta in 1986. After separating from Reena in 2002, Aamir married director Kiran Rao in 2005. Kiran and Aamir got divorced in the year 2021.

Aamir made his relationship with Gauri public on his 60th birthday in the year 2025. Gauri is a salon entrepreneur and fashion professional based in Bengaluru. His father is of Tamil-British origin and mother of Punjabi-Irish origin. Gauri is the granddaughter of Philip Spratt, a British communist associated with India’s independence movement in the 1920s.
Like Aamir, Gauri has also been married before and has a 7 year old child. Gauri and her child have been living together in Mumbai for the last two years.
Aamir and Gauri know each other for the last 25 years. Both were very good friends earlier, after which they started dating each other. Ever since Aamir and Gauri made their relationship official, Gauri is often seen accompanying Aamir at different events and occasions.

I consider myself lucky that Gauri came into my life. I feel that now I have become complete.

Second relationship with Kiran Rao, then separated with consent
After his divorce from Reena Dutta, director Kiran Rao came into Aamir Khan’s life. Both of them got married in the year 2005. From this marriage he has a son, Azad, who was born through IVF. After 15 years of marriage, Aamir and Kiran announced divorce in July 2021.

In his joint statement, he called it a decision taken as part of a well-thought-out planning. According to Aamir, the dynamics of their relationship as husband and wife had changed with time. However, even after divorce, respect and friendship remains intact between the two. Even today, they are raising their son together and work together on many film projects including Paani Foundation.
