A case has been registered against music composer and film maker Palash Muchhal in Sangli, Maharashtra. A case has been registered against him under SC/ST Act. This complaint has been lodged by Vigyan Prakash Mane, childhood friend of Indian female cricketer Smriti Mandhana. Palash is accused of using caste based words and cheating. Controversy took place at toll plaza: According to the police report, this incident took place on November 22 near a toll plaza located on Sangli-Ashta Road. Complainant Vigyan Mane alleges that during an argument, Palashmuchal made derogatory and casteist remarks against him. Police have registered a case in this matter under Section 3(1) of the SC/ST Act as well as Section 351(2) and 352 of the Indian Justice Code. The transaction of Rs 25 lakh is the root of the dispute. The police investigating the case said that this entire dispute is related to the transaction of money. It is alleged that Palash Muchhal had taken Rs 25 lakh from Vigyan Mane in the name of a film production project. Palash promised that the film would be completed in six months. When work was not done on the project for a long time, Vigyan started demanding his money back. There was an argument between the two regarding this matter. Complainant said – Palash cheated Vigyan Mane has given his side in the conversation with the media. He said, “Palash had assured me that the film would be completed soon, but he turned out to be a fraud. When I asked for my money, he started avoiding the conversation. When I interrupted him, he used very foul language. I can’t even repeat those words on camera. His behavior is very disturbing.” Relationship with Smriti Mandhana was broken. Earlier, Palash had also been accused of cheating on Smriti. Palash Muchhal and Smriti Mandhana were in a relationship for a long time. Both of them were engaged and there was talk that they would get married in Sangli in November 2025. However, some time ago both of them had informed about their separation on social media.
