A case of cheating has been registered against ex-contestant of Bigg Boss Malayalam and actor Shias Karim. Kerala Police has registered a case against him for cheating, insulting the dignity of a woman and criminal intimidation. This complaint has been lodged by one of his female business partners. Police confirmed this matter on Tuesday.

Actor reneges on promise after taking lakhs of rupees The woman has stated in her complaint that Shias had lured her to partner in a new business venture. For this the woman had invested lakhs of rupees. After taking the money, Shias went back on his promise. He neither started the business nor gave partnership to the woman. According to police sources, the woman previously lived abroad and had come in contact with Shias through social media.
Threatened for asking for money The complainant alleges that when he asked for the return of his invested money, Shias intimidated and threatened him. Police have registered a case against Shias under several serious sections of the Indian Justice Code (BNS). This includes Section 318(4) (cheating), Section 79 (insulting the dignity of woman) and Section 351(2) (criminal intimidation).

Police can interrogate soon Officials said that a detailed investigation into the matter has been started. Shiyas Karim may soon be summoned for questioning. Police are also investigating whether Shias has committed a similar fraud with anyone else or whether anyone else is involved in this case.
