The new song ‘Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke’ from the upcoming film ‘KD: The Devil’ has been embroiled in controversy as soon as it was released. It has been removed from YouTube after public protests and legal complaints.
This song filmed on Sanjay Dutt and Nora Fatehi is accused of spreading obscenity. The song is also being heavily criticized on social media due to its obscene lyrics and visuals.
Meanwhile, All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) has written an official letter to Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) Chairman Prasoon Joshi, registering a strong protest against the song.
AICWA says that this kind of obscene and double meaning content is not acceptable for Indian cinema.

As soon as the song was released on the streaming platform, users described its lyrics and visuals as ‘lewd’ and ‘double meaning’. The controversy grew so much that the makers removed it just a day after its release.
Now on clicking the link of the song on YouTube, the video is not available, the message that this video is private is visible. Nora Fatehi has also deleted the video of this song from her Instagram account.

Armaan Malik and Harbhajan Singh expressed protest
Not only the common people, but also celebrities from the film industry and sports world have expressed their displeasure regarding this song. Singer Armaan Malik criticized the song on social media, calling it a “new example of degradation” in the field of song-writing.

Legal action is also being tightened against the song. National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a notice to the makers of the film regarding the use of objectionable words. Apart from this, social activist and advocate have filed a complaint against this song in the cyber cell of Delhi Police.
It has been alleged in the complaint that this song promotes obscenity in the society. The complainant has demanded strict action against lyricist Rakib Alam, director Prem and composer Arjun Janya.
