Priyanka said that she also wanted to gain international recognition like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and American actress Mindy Kaling and that is why she decided to explore new opportunities. In the ‘Not Skinny But Not Fat’ podcast, Priyanka recalled the early days of her career. He told that he had entered films at the age of just 18. Her first film was Tamil language Thamizhan, in which she was seen with South superstar Vijay. Priyanka told that at that time she got to see the real power of stardom for the first time, when a huge crowd used to gather on the set to see Vijay. According to Priyanka, at the beginning of her career she thought that the film industry was only about gaining fame and popularity. But with time his perspective changed and he understood that acting is not just fame but also a serious art. She said that till now she has worked in about 70 films and every project has given her new experience. The actress also admitted that there came a time when she started feeling limited in Bollywood. She felt that if she stayed at one place, she would not be able to get new opportunities. This thinking inspired him to try his luck in Hollywood. Priyanka said that at that time the presence of Indian artists in the international film and TV industry was very less. However, there were celebrities like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mindy Kaling who made their mark at the global level. For Priyanka, this example was like an inspiration that Indian artists can also make their place on the world stage. Priyanka believes that sometimes difficult situations come in life, but it is not right to remain stuck in those situations. He said that if a person lives in a bad environment for a long time, he starts considering it as normal, hence it is necessary to make changes in time.
