The bitterness between the pair of Govinda and David Dhawan, who gave many superhit comedy films to Bollywood in the 90s, has once again come to the fore. Govinda recently told in an interview to India Today that David Dhawan was not loyal to him.
According to Govinda, when he felt that the matter was now becoming dangerous for his career, he thought it better to distance himself from the pair. Govinda said, I feel that David will not be able to do the same films with his son Varun as he did with me.

In the interview, Govinda said that David Dhawan was honest towards his work, but was not loyal as a friend and actor. He further said that loyalty is very important in the film industry. If your loyalty is towards someone else, questions will be raised about your honesty.
I never felt that he was a stranger, but I felt that some people were instigating him against me. Govinda told that there came a time when he felt that things were getting out of hand. He said, I felt that this matter has now become dangerous, so it is better to get out of it.

‘Chashme Baddoor’ film had increased bitterness
The rift between Govinda and David deepened when ‘Chashme Baddoor’ was remade in 2013. Govinda claims that he gave the idea of this film to David, but David made the film with someone else without informing him. Govinda said that when he called David to do his 18th film together, the director did not answer him.
It is difficult to do that kind of magic with Varun Dhawan.
During the interview, when Govinda was asked about Varun Dhawan, he said that David now wants to repeat the same success with his son. Govinda said, I feel that he will not be able to do the same films with his son as he did with me. It is very difficult to recreate that magic.
