Amitabh Bachchan has suffered from many serious diseases like Hepatitis-B, Liver Cirrhosis, Myasthenia Gravis and TB.
Amitabh Bachchan mentioned about his hospitalization, surgery and admission in ICU in his blog on Monday. However, he did not tell when, in which hospital, for how many days and why he was admitted. In May this year, news of Amitabh Bachchan’s hospitalization was revealed.

After the blog post, Amitabh Bachchan wrote on X late Monday night, ‘T 5806 – Game over! But work is going on.
It was claimed that Amitabh was admitted to the hospital.
On May 19, journalist Vicky Lalwani had claimed on his YouTube channel that Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to Nanavati Hospital in Mumbai. He had said that he was admitted on 16 May.
Vicky Lalwani had also said that he had reached Nanavati Hospital on Tuesday evening to confirm the news. Big B was housed on the third floor of the A-wing. He had also claimed that Abhishek Bachchan had also reached the hospital to see his father.
However, when Dainik Bhaskar contacted a source close to the family to confirm the news, it was revealed that Amitabh was taken to Nanavati Hospital on May 16 for a routine checkup. He keeps getting routine checkups done every month. He returned home soon after.
Vicky Lalwani claimed that Amitabh Bachchan was hospitalized since May 16, but fact check also revealed that on Sunday, May 17, Big B had come out of Jalsa to meet the fans as usual. Its video was also revealed.

On May 20, Amitabh Bachchan had made a meaningless post with some strange words from the official X account. He wrote at 12:03 in the night – Pilori Barumba.

Big B’s 75% liver damaged
83 year old Big B is alive only on 25% of his liver, 75% of his liver is damaged. After the accident on the sets of the film Coolie, the doctors had declared him clinically dead.
It was difficult to stay alive even for 3-4 hours, Amitabh endured that pain for 4 days.
On 26 July 1982, Amitabh Bachchan was shooting an action sequence for the film Coolie. As per the demand of the shot, Puneet Issar had to punch Amitabh and he had to fall on the table. This work was for a body double, but Amitabh himself shot it for perfection. The punch was so strong that a corner of the table hit Amitabh’s stomach. There was no blood, but Big B was in bad condition due to pain. When he went to the hospital, the doctors could not understand the real reason. Big B spent two days with the help of pain killers, but when the pain did not stop, he was admitted to St. Philomena Hospital in Bengaluru.

Amitabh Bachchan was X-rayed, but the exact reason was still not known. Many tests were done, but when the injury was not detected then how could the treatment be done. When the pain became unbearable on the third day, the doctors again examined him closely by doing X-ray. Saw that gas was visible under the diaphragm in the X-ray, which was a sign of leakage. Actually, Amitabh’s intestines had burst due to the injury and due to lack of timely treatment, the infection had spread. On the fourth day, renowned surgeon H.S. Bhatia saw Amitabh’s case and immediately suggested operation.
Before the operation, Amitabh had 102 degree fever and his heartbeat became 180 instead of 72. When the operation was done, it was found that the intestines had burst from inside. It was difficult to survive even for 3-4 hours in such conditions, but he was struggling for four days. Big B went into coma on the fourth day. Two operations were performed and he was kept in the hospital for two months.
On 24 September 1982, Big B was discharged from Breach Candy Hospital.
Big B was already suffering from asthma, liver problem and pneumonia.
Even before the accident, Amitabh Bachchan had liver problems and was also asthmatic. The very next day after the operation he developed pneumonia which worsened his condition. After treatment in Bangalore, he was brought to Mumbai by Airbus. He was shifted on a stretcher to Breach Candy Hospital by crane. He underwent surgery again on August 8. There was a crowd of his fans outside the hospital round the clock. In the entire country, puja was being conducted at some places and yagya at other places. Jaya Bachchan herself had gone to Siddhi Vinayak to seek the well-being of Amitabh, but when she reached there, she saw that many people were already worshiping there for Big B. People’s prayers bore fruit.
