BJP MP and actress Kangana Ranaut has criticized the Cockroach Janata Party’s ongoing protest near Parliament. Her husband and famous lyricist Javed Akhtar has written an open letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding to address the concerns of Ladakh and start dialogue. Apart from these, Naseeruddin Shah, Vishal Dadlani, Dia Mirza, Onir and Omi Vaidya have also praised Wangchuk’s peaceful manner on social media.

Shabana Azmi ended the students’ fast

Earlier, the fast of student leaders Neha, Amin and Manish Kumar, who were on hunger strike at Jantar Mantar for the last three weeks, ended on Monday. All three are associated with All India Students Association (AISA).

Actress Shabana Azmi, Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Rajya Sabha MP Manoj Jha and actor Prakash Raj ended his fast by giving him water.

Earlier on Sunday also, Shabana Azmi and Prakash Raj were present in Jantar Mantar. Shabana Azmi held the hand of protester Neha and encouraged her while she was on an indefinite hunger strike on Sunday.

TV actress Kavita Kaushik shared a video on social media in support of the students protesting at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi. He appealed to Delhi Police to treat the protesters with restraint and humane treatment.

In the video, Kavita said that policemen also have their own families and they should remember that the people standing in front of them are also citizens of the country. He said that every family wants to get a qualified doctor in case of medical emergency and that is why many students are protesting for their demands.

Kavita requested the police not to raise their hands on students or common citizens under any circumstances and not to use force against them.

It is noteworthy that in this protest, activist and education reformer Sonam Wangchuk is sitting on hunger strike. Many Bollywood celebs have come in their support, including many celebs like Soni Razdan, Shabana Azmi, Sonakshi Sinha, Rubina Dilaik, Naseeruddin Shah, Ratna Pathak Shah, Anurag Kashyap, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Atul Kulkarni.
