According to Kiku, the jokes or punchlines are not told to the guest artists in advance so that their real reactions can be captured on camera. He also spoke openly about Kapil Sharma’s way of handling the situation when a joke flopped during the show and actor Salman Khan’s unpredictable temperament.

The guests don’t know the jokes beforehand. Kiku Sharda told in the interview that he deliberately does not tell the celebrity guests about the jokes, punchlines or characters in advance. The team wanted guests to see the characters on stage for the first time, to get their most authentic and natural reactions. Now all the stars coming to the show also move with the same flow and enjoy on-the-spot comedy.

70% script and 30% on-the-spot comedy Explaining the creative process, Kiku said that there is a fixed script in the show and the team follows it. But sometimes celebrities take the conversation in completely new directions, making it difficult to stick to the script. At such times, on-the-spot changes have to be made. He told that the show works on almost a 70-30 ratio, where 70% is scripted and 30% is completely spontaneous.

Difficult to understand Salman Khan’s reaction Recalling her experience of performing with Salman Khan, Kiku said that it is very difficult to predict his reaction. Many times the team plans a line thinking it to be very funny, but they barely react to it.

Meanwhile, when someone suddenly says something unexpected, they are unable to stop laughing. When Salman starts laughing, tears come out of his eyes.

Kapil takes command when joke flops In the interview, Kiku also told that when a joke fails on stage, Kapil Sharma handles the situation very well. Kapil immediately understands which part is not working. In such a situation, Kapil comes in without any script and says, ‘I had already said that this will not work’. They spin the matter in such a way that the situation does not seem awkward and the show moves ahead. Both have been working together for the last 13 years, so they understand each other’s mind very well.
