Akshay Kumar starrer comedy film ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has crossed the Rs 100 crore mark at the box office in just 4 days of its release. According to trade tracking website Sacknilk, the film has made a worldwide gross collection of Rs 106.48 crore in 4 days. The performance of the film continues to be strong in the Indian market too and its net collection here has reached Rs 72.25 crore.
Strong performance of the film in the domestic market The film has made a good run at the Indian box office from day one. After opening at Rs 3.75 crore on the first Thursday, the film’s earnings saw a steady rise. The film did a business of Rs 15.25 crore on Friday and Rs 20 crore on Saturday.
At the same time, on Sunday the film earned the highest amount of Rs 24.75 crore. On Monday also, the film has added Rs 8.5 crore, taking its total net collection in India to Rs 72.25 crore. Its total gross collection in India has reached Rs 86.53 crore.
Strong earnings in overseas market The film is getting good response from the audience in the Indian market as well as abroad. In overseas markets, the film made a gross collection of Rs 3 crore on its fourth day i.e. Monday. Including this, the total overseas gross collection of the film has become Rs 19.95 crore. Including the total earnings of domestic and international markets, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has completed a total gross business of Rs 106.48 crores worldwide within 4 days of its release.
Third installment of ‘Welcome’ franchise ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is the sequel to the 2007 superhit film ‘Welcome’ and 2015’s ‘Welcome Back’. This is the third film of this franchise. The story and screenplay of the film is based on the original story of late writer Neeraj Vora. However, this time the budget has been kept much bigger than the previous films. The total duration of the film is 2 hours 45 minutes, in which many interesting twists are seen.
