Shatrughan Sinha said on Dhurandhar, the film is a masterpiece, not propaganda: Called director Aditya Dhar a role model, said that such a film has not been seen in centuries.

Amid the ongoing debate regarding the film Dhurandhar, the statement of veteran actor and politician Shatrughan Sinha is in discussion. In a recent interview, he openly supported the film, calling it an absolute masterpiece and rejected the allegations of propaganda against the film.

In an interview given to News18, Shatrughan Sinha said that a film should be seen only as a film and not as an agenda. He clearly said, “A film is a film, not propaganda” and described Dhurandhar as an excellent and entertaining cinema.

He also praised the direction and technical aspects of the film. Especially praising director Aditya Dhar, he said that he has emerged as a role model and is a very excellent director. According to Shatrughan Sinha, “He has made a very excellent film. Such a gripping and entertaining film may not have been seen in centuries.”

During the interview, Shatrughan Sinha also remembered his old colleagues Sunil Dutt and Vinod Khanna. He said that while watching the film, he remembered these two legendary actors. He also praised the acting of his sons Sanjay Dutt and Akshay Khanna and said that they are carrying forward their father’s legacy.

He also described Ranveer Singh’s performance in the film as impressive and said that the entire film succeeds in keeping the audience engaged. Sinha clarified that he has seen the first part of Dhurandhar and he liked it a lot, but has not seen Dhurandhar 2 yet.

It is noteworthy that Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar, was released on 5 December 2025, while its sequel Dhurandhar: The Revenge was released on 19 March 2026.
