This tweet by Sanjay Gupta has come at a time when the VFX of the film Ramayana is being discussed. In such a situation, this tweet of his is being seen in the context of Ramayana.

Even before this, Sanjay Gupta has been in the news, when he had tweeted, “Khoda Pahad Nikla Chuha”, which people considered to be a taunt on the teaser of the film Ramayana, because this tweet of his was done after Ranbir Kapoor’s look as Lord Ram in Ramayana was revealed. However, he later clarified that his statement was not for any particular film.

Questions raised regarding VFX of Ramayana

Lord Ram’s look from the film Ramayana was revealed on Hanuman Jayanti. War scenes and spectacular VFX were also seen in the teaser, which was praised by many people. However, some users on social media described the scenes of the film as copying from Hollywood films.

The war scenes (in Lanka) shown in the teaser seemed like Hollywood movies to some users. Some said it was inspired by Game of Thrones or other Hollywood films. The designs of the monsters and some shots were said to be copied from Hollywood movies like Lord of the Rings.

At the same time, another user wrote, “The problem is that Bollywood people are crazy about copying Hollywood. The shadow of Game of Thrones is clearly visible in this teaser. Ramayana means VFX and CGI, Bollywood people are assuming this.”

When one user said that scenes of Ramayana are similar to films like Game of Thrones, The Dark Knight and Dune: Part Two, another user replied that many scenes of Baahubali are also similar to other Hollywood films.
