Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s father and scriptwriter Salim Khan will be discharged from Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai today. 90-year-old Salim Khan was admitted to the hospital on February 17 due to brain hemorrhage.
After treatment that lasted for about a month, his health is now much improved and the doctors have allowed him to go home. He will be discharged from the hospital by today evening.
Salman Khan has been continuously visiting the hospital to know about his father’s condition.
Was admitted in Lilavati Hospital for a month
Salim Khan was under the supervision of Senior Consultant Dr. Jalil Parkar. According to hospital sources, he was facing some complications due to his increasing age. The investigation revealed minor brain hemorrhage, after which neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange performed a minor surgery (DSA procedure). Considering his age, recovery took some time, but now he is completely stable.

Salim remained on ventilator support during initial treatment.
During the initial phase of treatment, Salim Khan was also put on ventilator for some time. Dr. Jalil Parkar had told that after the hemorrhage, a small procedure was necessary which was successful. Recently, during an Iftar party, Arbaaz Khan, while talking to the paparazzi, had told that his father’s health is much better now and he is improving.

The entire Khan family stood by Salim Khan during his stay in the hospital. Sons Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan kept visiting the hospital continuously. Shahrukh Khan and Aamir Khan also reached the hospital to know the condition of Salim Khan.
Apart from this, Salim Khan’s old friend and veteran writer Javed Akhtar also visited the hospital to inquire about his friend’s health.

Career started with acting
Salim Khan started his career as an actor in the 60s. He did small roles in films like ‘Teesri Manzil’, but later he made writing his profession. In the late 60s, he met Javed Akhtar and the iconic pair of ‘Salim-Javed’ was formed.
The pair wrote 24 films like ‘Sholay’, ‘Deewar’, ‘Zanjeer’, ‘Don’ and ‘Mr India’, out of which 20 films were blockbusters. Even after separating from Javed Akhtar in 1982, she gave superhit films like ‘Naam’ and ‘Pyar Kiya To Darna Kya’.
