Director Nitesh Tiwari’s film ‘Ramayana’ is in the news since its teaser release. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen in the role of Lord Ram and Yash Ravana in the film. Recently, during the promotion of the film in Los Angeles, Nitish Tiwari has shared many important information about Yash’s character i.e. the character of Ravana. He told that in this film Ravana will not only be presented as a ‘one-dimensional’ villain, but also as a scholar and warrior. Not just a villain, he will also be a scholar and a warrior. Nitish Tiwari told that there were many aspects of Ravana’s life which need to be brought on screen. He said, Ravana was a great warrior, skilled musician and a great scholar. He was also a generous king and a great devotee of Lord Shiva. Therefore, it is important for us to show these different aspects of his personality instead of just showing the evil (black character) in his character. Nitesh Tiwari also told the real reason behind showing the human and scholarly side of Ravana. According to him, “There is a deep purpose in showing these parts of Ravana’s life. There is a very important lesson hidden in it. No matter how talented you are, if you are driven by ego, feelings of revenge and ego, then what are the consequences, this is what the story of Ravana teaches. This will also be a big message of this film. The film will come in two parts. According to reports, Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’ is being made on a large scale. It will be a franchise.
