Iranian actress Mandana Karimi has decided to leave India. Mandana, who has been working in Bollywood for 25 years, says that India has betrayed her and now she has no voice left here. She has packed all her belongings and will return to her country as soon as the current regime in Iran ends.
In fact, Iran’s Supreme Leader Khamenei was killed after the missile attacks on February 28 in the Iran-Israel war. Mandana had expressed happiness over this death on social media and strongly criticized the Iranian regime. After this protest, Mandana is facing opposition in India.
After this Instagram post of Mandana, her opposition increased in India.
Actress claims- stopped getting work
In an interview given to Bollywood Hungama, Mandana shared her pain and said, in the last two months I felt very lonely in Mumbai. I lost many of my old friends because of speaking out in favor of Iran and participating in protests. I feel that India has betrayed me in a way. I have stopped getting work from January 2026 and my old contracts have also been cancelled.
Pack bags, will return to Iran as soon as government falls
Mandana says that she is now breaking her ties with India. She said, as soon as it is announced that the current government of Iran has fallen, I will leave immediately. I have packed my bag. I want to see an Iran where women are free, can wear whatever clothes they want and can study in any university.
Mandana Karimi has also been a contestant of Bigg Boss Season 9.
Mandana’s career started with modeling
Mandana Karimi was born in Tehran. She came to India for the first time in 2010 for modeling and settled in Mumbai since 2013. He worked in films like ‘Kya Kool Hain Hum 3’, ‘Main Aur Charles’ and ‘Bhaag Johnny’. Apart from this, he got recognition from reality shows like ‘Bigg Boss’ and ‘Lockup’.
After this, Mandana married Indian businessman Gaurav Gupta in 2017, but this relationship did not last long. They divorced in 2021. Mandana had made serious allegations against her husband and in-laws like domestic violence and pressure for religious conversion.
