Bollywood actress Jhanvi Kapoor recently spoke in a podcast about the demise of her mother and superstar Sridevi and the difficulties faced after that. Jhanvi told that she depended on her mother for every small and big decision of her life. After his sudden demise, Jhanvi not only had to learn to take decisions alone, but also had to face harsh behavior and trolling from the world. She was dependent on her mother for every small thing. In Raj Shamani’s podcast, Jhanvi told that she had never taken any decision on her own while Sridevi was there. Jhanvi said, “I was completely dependent on him. I used to ask him everything – what clothes should I wear? What should I do? What is right and what is wrong? After he left, I had to learn to take decisions in my life on my own.” Jhanvi also admitted that during this time she took many wrong decisions and allowed people who had no business interfering in her personal life. The world was judging my sorrow. Recalling the tension of that period, Jhanvi said that people were deciding the scale of her sorrow. According to the actress, “The world was trying to break me. People used to comment that look, she is smiling more now, she is not as sad as she should be. Many kinds of allegations were also made against my family.” Boney Kapoor changed after mother’s departure, Jhanvi became emotional while remembering her mother’s funny nature. He said that no one in the world can take Sridevi’s place. Jhanvi said about her father Boney Kapoor, that day I not only lost a family member, but also lost my father. When mother was with us, father was a completely different person. Today, I am happy with the way he is, but he is not the same as before.” According to Jhanvi, Sridevi had the biggest contribution in the happiness and positivity of her family. Sridevi died during the debut film. Sridevi died on 24 February 2018 in UAE. This was the time when Jhanvi was preparing for her first Bollywood film ‘Dhadak’. Jhanvi’s film was a hit at the box office, but her success. Her mother was not with her to watch. Sridevi ruled Hindi, Tamil and Telugu cinema for almost three decades.
