Film director Sanoj Mishra has expressed happiness over the decision of the National Commission for Scheduled Tribes (NCST) in the marriage case of Mahakumbh’s viral girl ‘Monalisa’. According to the report of the Commission, at the time of the marriage which took place on March 11, 2026, his age was only 16 years, 2 months and 12 days.
After this report, a case has been registered against Monalisa’s husband Farman Khan under the POCSO Act. After the Commission declared Monalisa a minor, Sanoj said that truth has won.
He alleged that a big conspiracy was hatched to defame him and Monalisa’s family. According to Sanoj, Monalisa was brainwashed and false allegations were made against her, but now the truth is in front of everyone.
Monalisa Farman was married on 11 March 2026.
Said- a conspiracy was hatched to trap me
During the controversy, Monalisa had made many serious allegations against her parents and director Sanoj Mishra. He had raised questions on the character of his parents and accused Sanoj of molestation. Now Sanoj Mishra says that all this was said under the influence of the order.
Sanoj Mishra expressed his views by releasing a video on social media. He told that the allegations of molestation made against him during the controversy were completely false. Sanoj said, Monalisa is an innocent girl, she was seduced and turned against me and her parents.
His mind was poisoned against me so that I could be sent to jail. Due to these controversies, I was so broken that many times I thought of committing suicide, but God gave me courage.
Director Sanoj Mishra had called this marriage love jihad.
Questions raised on ‘Love Jihad’ and organizations
Sanoj Mishra linked this entire matter to ‘Love Jihad’ and made serious allegations against some organizations. He said that the Commission has also expressed concern over the involvement of organizations like PFI and CPI-M in this matter. Sanoj claims that fake Aadhaar cards and documents were prepared to show Monalisa as an adult. He said that it was not just a marriage, but a deep conspiracy which was tried to be suppressed by giving it the name of ‘love’.
After this Monalisa had accused Sanoj Mishra of molestation.
Punished for supporting family
Sanoj told that he stood with Monalisa’s parents from the beginning. When the family described their daughter as a minor, Sanoj raised their voice on every platform. He had filed a complaint with Madhya Pradesh Police and National Human Rights Commission.
Sanoj said, what was my crime? Is it a crime to make films on issues like love jihad and conversion? Every possible effort was made to silence me, but I did not back down.
The dispute started from marriage
Monalisa came into limelight because of her pictures during Mahakumbh. She married Farman Khan on March 11, 2026, after which the controversy regarding her age started. Sanoj Mishra and his family claimed that he was a minor, whereas the order stated that he was 18 years old. Now it has become clear in the Commission’s investigation that at the time of marriage, Monalisa’s age was only 16 years, 2 months and 12 days.
