One of the main reasons I love winter fashion is because of the coats. All the coats. In my non-existent fashion rule book, coats can be a full outfit by themselves, which is why I hold them in such high regard. It’s also a classic Fashion Jackson move to mix high-end and “low-end” pieces, although low-end seems to get a negative connotation so let me break that down further. When I say low-end, I don’t mean cheap or poorly made. I’m talking specifically about dollar amount. So when we’re talking about winter high-low outfits, this look fits the bill perfectly with a gorgeous coat for under $300, perfect straight leg jeans for under $200, and a classic navy sweater for under $60.

I don’t usually incorporate color into my wardrobe (I’m a neutral girl through and through), but I couldn’t resist this baby blue Zara coat. Made with 57% wool and 14% alpaca yarn, it’s warm, soft, and perfectly cozy for chilly days. The peaked collar and single button are what grabbed my attention — they made this already standout coat even chicer. The jeans are AGOLDE 90’s pinch waist high rise and by far my most worn pair of straight leg jeans. They work year-round and are especially easy to base an outfit around when it comes to styling straight leg jeans in winter. You just can’t go wrong with these jeans and a classic sweater, like this navy one (also from Zara). As for the “high” pieces of this look, it’s the shoes (classic Jimmy Choo pumps that are literally always in style) and an Hermes bag. These pieces paired together create an elevated yet casual outfit you can wear on repeat all winter-long!
