James Cameron’s science fiction film ‘Avatar: Fire and Ash’ i.e. Avatar 3 will now be released on OTT after completing three months in theatres. This film, released last year on 19 December 2025, had a record collection of ₹ 13,070 crore worldwide.

According to Sacknilk’s report, ‘Avatar 3’ will premiere on ‘Disney+’ for overseas audiences from March 31, 2026. However, foreign viewers will have to pay rent to watch it for the first month.

Talking about India, this film will be streamed on ‘Jio Hotstar’. It is expected that between the first week of April to June 2026, Indian fans will be able to watch it at home on their mobile or TV.

Avatar 3 is made with a budget of ₹3,400 crore

The total budget of ‘Avatar 3’ was around $400 million (₹3,400 crore). It grossed $1.49 billion at the box office. The film became a rage in India also and it made a gross collection of ₹235 crore.

For the excellent making of the film, it has also received the ‘Best Visual Effects’ award at the 98th Academy Awards (Oscars 2026). This franchise of James Cameron is the world’s highest grossing series.

Two more films will come by 2031

James Cameron has prepared to take this world of Pandora further. After ‘Avatar 3’, now fans are waiting for ‘Avatar 4’ and ‘Avatar 5’. According to Cameron, the fourth film will be released in the year 2029 and the fifth film in the year 2031. The star cast of ‘Avatar 3’ includes big names like Kate Winslet, Sigourney Weaver and Stephen Lang.
