There is bad news for the fans of Bollywood’s Khiladi Kumar, because Akshay Kumar, who used to do 3-4 films in a year, has taken a short break from films and acting. The reason for this break is his eye surgery.

In the report of Hindustan Times, quoting a source close to the actor, it has been said that Akshay Kumar has undergone minor surgery, which was done on the morning of 6th May. This was a vision correction surgery. Now Akshay will take a break for a few days and focus on his recovery, as he has also completed the shooting schedule of his next film Keralam with Anees Bazmee. He is going to be seen with Vidya Balan and Raashi Khanna in this film.

Completed shooting on 5th May, got surgery done on 6th May

According to the source, Akshay Kumar’s eye surgery took place on May 6. Just a few hours before this, he had finished shooting for the film Keralam. Sharing a picture from the set on his official social media account, Akshay had written, “Keralaam schedule completed. There is nothing better than working with great people in a beautiful place. Much love to our director Anees Bazmee for his amazing energy behind the camera, and a heartfelt thanks to my amazing co-stars Vidya Balan, Rakhi Khanna, Chhota Rajpal and the entire team. This project was very special for me.”

Akshay Kumar has 5 big films

Akshay Kumar is known for doing the maximum number of films annually in Bollywood. These days the actor is in the news for the horror comedy film Bhoot Bangla, which is getting good response in theatres.

This year his two big films Welcome to the Jungle and Haiwaan are to be released. At present, the release dates of both have not been revealed. Apart from this, he has 3 films scheduled for the next year i.e. 2027, which include Keralam, Vedat Marathe Veer Daudle Saat and Golmaal 5.
