Bollywood playback singer Asha Bhosle’s son Anand Bhosle and granddaughter Janai reached Kashi on Monday. Both of them boarded the boat from Assi Ghat. After reaching the middle of Ganga, ashes of Asha Bhosle were immersed.

Janai became emotional during the immersion of ashes. Tears started coming out of his eyes. Janai said- Grandmother had expressed her desire to immerse her ashes in Kashi before her death. Let us tell you that Asha Bhosle died on April 12 at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai.

Son Anand Bhosle said- Mother had come to Kashi only once in her life, but she had an unbreakable relationship with Lord Shiva. Today we have brought the ashes here to fulfill his last wish. Mother’s Pind Daan has also been done.

Earlier, Pindra MLA Awadhesh Singh had received the family members from Babatpur Airport at 9.30 am. After immersion of ashes, Anand Bhosle and daughter Janai rested at Taj Hotel. Then left for Mumbai from here at 4 pm.

Granddaughter made an emotional post on social media

After the demise of Asha Bhosle, Zanai Bhosle shared an emotional post on social media. He described his grandmother as his best friend and an important part of his life. Zanai wrote that now she is not able to understand with whom she will have tea in the morning or share her jokes.

She wrote that she believes that her grandmother will always be with her and will return to hug her again one day. He said that Asha Bhosle was not only a great artist but was also the embodiment of life and happiness for him.

Ran away and got married at the age of 16, relations with sister deteriorated

At the age of just 16, Asha Bhosle fell in love with elder sister Lata’s secretary, Ganpat Rao Bhosle. Ganpat Rao was 15 years older than him. Asha knew that her family would not approve of this relationship, so she ran away from home at the age of 16 and married Ganpat Rao. This decision brought more troubles than happiness for him. After marriage, she did not get good treatment from her husband and in-laws. Time passed and bitterness in the relationship also increased.

This relationship, full of doubt and tension, died after a few years. Ganpatrao threw him out of the house. At that time Asha was with two children and was about to become the mother of the third child. Under compulsion he had to return to his maternal home. Both separated in the year 1960.

RD Burman’s mother had said, if you want to marry Asha, you will have to pass through the dead body.

After getting divorced from Ganpat Rao, RD Burman came as her companion in Asha Bhosle’s life. The two met in 1966, when they were working together in Teesri Manzil. Both of them called out ‘O Haseena Zulfon Wali’, and ‘O Mere Sona Re Sona Re’.

RD Burman wanted to do something different from the legacy of his father SD Burman. Bringing the trend of jazz and cabaret, he got the support of Asha Bhosle’s voice. Both of them drank, now you come…, dam maaro dam…. Like the songs she composed, Asha Bhosle came to be known as Cabaret Queen.

The professional relationship soon led to growing closeness. Pancham da was 6 years younger than Asha. He was divorced from his first wife Rita in 1971. His marriage was in controversy. Due to increasing domestic disputes, he left home and started living in a hotel. After 9 years, when he decided to marry Asha, the family turned against him. The mother flatly refused.

RD Burman’s mother was so unhappy with their relationship that she clearly said that as long as he was alive, both of them could not get married and if they wanted to get married, then Asha would have to be brought into the house over her mother’s dead body.

Hearing this, RD Burman left from there without saying anything. They wanted to get married, but this was not possible due to their mother’s displeasure. After a few years, RD Burman’s mother became very ill and she stopped recognizing anyone. After this RD Burman and Asha got married in 1980.

RD Burman died in 1994 after 14 years of marriage. Asha was alone once again. Before RD’s demise, his financial condition was not good due to which Asha and he used to live separately.
