At that time ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ used to air on TV and around 100 episodes were shot in a year. Due to the tight dates of the show, he had no time left for any other film. Archana said, I refused films so many times that filmmakers stopped calling me for acting. The makers think I only laugh. The actress is also sad that the industry now sees her only as a judge. He said, no matter how hard I try, I am not able to convince the filmmakers that I am an actor. They still think that I am someone who just sits on a chair and laughs. Because of this image, he is no longer getting offered serious or different roles and he still has to prove his acting skills. 42 years of career and more than 100 films: Archana Puran Singh’s career started in 1982 with the film ‘Nikah’ at the age of just 20. In 1987, she appeared in the lead role in the film ‘Jalwa’ with Naseeruddin Shah. In the 90s, he did many item numbers and then gained recognition for his comedy in films like ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, ‘Insaan’, ‘De Dana Dan’ and ‘Bol Bachchan’. Archana, who has new hopes for her career through OTT, is now seen in the film ‘Toaster’ with Rajkumar Rao. He says that now Kapil’s show is shot on Netflix on a season basis, so he now has time for other projects. This is her second work with Rajkummar Rao.
