Actor Mukesh Khanna has said that he is not in favor of casting Ranveer Singh in the role of Shaktimaan. He said that he wants a new face to be chosen for Shaktimaan, which will reflect the same image and simplicity. He said that he is ready to take auditions across the country for this. Mukesh Khanna said in an interview given to Zoom that in today’s time children need Shaktiman more than ever. According to him, the children of 2026 need it more than the way this character showed the right path to the generation of 1997. The actor said that a misconception has spread among the people that they are refusing because they themselves want to become Shaktimaan again. He made it clear that he has already become Shaktimaan, now his job is to take this character forward. Mukesh Khanna also praised Ranveer’s acting and said that he is a brilliant actor and has the ability to play different characters. However, he clarified that Shaktimaan’s character is not just about acting but also about personality and image. He said that he is incurring a loss of crores of rupees. Sony is ready to give him crores of rupees for the show, but they are not agreeing because of the cast. They want to give a chance to a new face instead of a big star, for which they are ready to take auditions all over the country. He also said that actors with already established images are not suitable for a character like Shaktimaan, because this role requires a distinct identity of simplicity and morality.
