The film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, directed by Aditya Dhar, is making new records at the box office. Meanwhile, film maker Kunal Kohli has made a big revelation on Dhurandhar 2. Kunal told that before the release of the film, many big directors of the industry believed that the film would flop. Kunal Kohli said in an on-screen conversation that when the film was about to be released, he had talked to many big directors. According to Kunal, the industry did not support this film. The big directors I spoke to said that the film will be released on Monday. But on Monday, instead of sitting, the film started running more. Kunal further said that it is not necessary to have the support of the industry for the success of a film, the audience themselves decides how the film is. Kunal’s taunt on ‘fake collection’ Kunal, while praising the film’s ‘genuine collection’, targeted those films which tamper with the figures. He said, some films show fake collections, yet are not able to collect Rs 100 crore in their entire lifetime. At the same time, Dhurandhar 2 has earned more than Rs 100 crore in a day without any pretense. He congratulated Aditya Dhar, Ranveer Singh and Jio Studios for showcasing the true potential of Indian cinema. Hero should be ‘man’. Kunal Kohli, while praising Ranveer Singh’s character in the film, said that the hero of Hindi films should look ‘man’. He said, we should make desi stories instead of being influenced by foreign subjects. Our hero should not be a lost or confused boy. The hero should be the same as shown in ‘Sayara’ and ‘Dhurandhar’. Giving the example of ‘Border 2’, Kunal said that even when that film crossed Rs 300 crore, people criticized it, even though it was a blockbuster film.
