Filmmaker Rajiv Rai has made serious allegations against the makers of ‘Dhurandhar 2’. He says that the songs ‘Oye Oye’ and ‘Tirchi Topiwale’ from his film ‘Tridev’ have been recreated and used in the film without permission. In an interview with DNA India, Rajiv Rai said that the songs of his film were used without permission and it should be considered as creative theft. Rajeev Rai said that he had not composed these songs to be used in this way in any other film. They allege that director Aditya Dhar and his team remixed them without the proper license and rights, thereby violating the rights of the original creators. In this matter, Rajiv Rai has raised questions on ‘Dhurandhar 2’ and its production house. He said that theft of creative work is increasing in the industry and it is necessary to stop it. He says that in the name of remake, the real identity of old songs is being changed. According to sources, the controversy escalated when it came to light that the song ‘Rang De Lal’ from ‘Dhurandhar 2’ is a recreated version of Tridev’s track ‘Oye Oye’. Trimurti Films has started legal action on this and the matter has reached the court. Rajeev Rai said that this is not just an issue of one song, but a question of respect for the entire creative industry. He said that if old songs continue to be used without permission, the work of the original creators will be lost in future. Meanwhile, no official statement has come from the team of ‘Dhurandhar 2’ on the controversy yet. Although the film is doing well at the box office, the controversy is beginning to affect its image.
