What is the difference between net and gross collection?
Net collection and gross collection are counted in two different ways in the earnings of films. Gross collection is the total amount earned from selling tickets, which also includes taxes (such as GST). Whereas net collection is the amount that is left after removing taxes, i.e. the actual earning which is considered in the account of the film. In simple words, gross is the total income and net income is the net income after removing taxes.
