Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal has said about his film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ that this film is not just a project for him, but a personal revenge for the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks. According to the report of The Indian Express, Arjun Rampal told that 26 November 2008 was the most frightening day of his life. It was his 36th birthday and he had gone out to celebrate with friends. First they stayed in a hotel in Worli, where suddenly a bang was heard. Initially it seemed that there was a gang war, but within some time panic spread in the entire city. He told that the hotel was immediately closed and everyone was instructed to stay inside. The situation outside was very bad. Rampal said, “On my birthday I saw the horrors of 26/11 with my own eyes.” This incident had a deep mental impact on him. While returning home the next day, he had to stop the car several times because his health was deteriorating. When director Aditya Dar narrated the story of ‘Dhurandhar’ to him, he decided to do the film as soon as he heard the scene related to 26/11. According to Rampal, at that very moment he felt that this was an opportunity to vent out his inner pain and anger. In the film, Rampal plays the character of Major Iqbal, who is shown as the mastermind of the 26/11 attacks. Through this character, he acted out the pain that he had been feeling for years. ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’ is a spy-thriller film, in which many big actors including Ranveer Singh are seen. The story of the film is based on terrorism and the feeling of revenge against it, which is connecting emotionally with the audience. Rampal says that this film is not just acting for him, but an emotional journey and personal closure.
