‘Lakme Fashion Week 2026’ (LFW) has started at Jio World Convention Center in Mumbai. On the first day of this five-day fashion event, which started from March 19, many big designers presented their latest collections.

Celebs like Shahrukh Khan’s wife Gauri Khan, Ananya Panday, Daisy Shah, Kubbra Seth and Radhika Madan attended the event. Actor Siddharth and Hardik Pandya’s girlfriend model Mahika Sharma also remained in focus.

From ‘The Boys Club’ to Anamika Khanna’s ‘AK|OK’ label, the ramp witnessed a wonderful fusion of traditional and modern styles on the first day.

Mahika Sharma arrived in Anamika Khanna’s outfit

The first day ended with the show of famous designer Anamika Khanna. She presents versatile and glamorous outfits under her label ‘AK|OK’. Model Mahika Sharma walked the ramp in Anamika Khanna’s special outfit.

This collection focused on dhoti pants, ruffled tops, co-ord sets and floor length gowns. This collection of Anamika was designed for ‘Ease of Shape’ i.e. comfortable and stylish clothes.

Siddharth’s ‘desi’ look and menswear flair

South and Bollywood actor Siddharth became the showstopper for designer Vivek Karunakaran. She wore draped dhoti pants with a brown silk coat. Her ‘earthy tone’ look was greatly appreciated by the audience.

Apart from Siddharth, designers like Countrymade, Dhruv Vaish and Sahil Aneja showcased new age fashion trends for men in ‘The Boys Club’ segment.

Combination of saree and modern design

Designer duo Abraham & Thakur in collaboration with French lifestyle brand ‘L’Atelier 1664’ launched ‘Sari-Toreal’ collection. In this, Indian saree was presented with modern French touch. Whereas, ‘Chola’ brand showcased bold and structured designs in only black and white colors through ‘Echoes in Monochrome’ presentation.
