‘Bade Saheb’ was mentioned repeatedly in the film ‘Dhurandhar’, but the character was not revealed. Now after the release of ‘Dhurandhar 2’, it has come to light that this role has been played by actor Danish Iqbal. In a recent interview, Danish Iqbal told that during the shooting he was not aware that he was playing the character of ‘Bade Saheb’. He said that he did not know about this till two months ago. In an interview given to Times Now, Danish Iqbal said, ‘Let me tell you that the talk of ‘Bade Saheb’ never happened. Meaning, till two months ago I did not even know that I was playing the role of ‘Bade Saheb’. I had doubts. He (Aditya) was very secretive and kept many things to himself. The actor further said, ‘But yes, I was playing the role of Dawood, I knew this very well, but Dawood is a great gentleman, I too was not completely confident on this. Everyone used to call me Dawood Bhai or Saheb. No one told me anything about my character. That’s why I keep speaking all the time in my scenes. Danish Iqbal also told that to adapt himself to the character of ‘Bade Saheb’, he had to wear make-up for 8 to 9 hours every day and had to live with prosthetics the whole day. It also took 3 to 4 hours to remove it and many rules had to be followed, including not being able to eat food. Danish Iqbal has been seen in films like A Mighty Heart, Maharani, Aranyak, Faraz, Bhakshak and The Hunt: The Rajiv Assassination Case. He was recently seen in the web series ‘Sankalp’ with Nana Patekar.
