‘Golmaal: Fun Unlimited’ was released 20 years ago on July 14, 2006.
Bollywood director Rohit Shetty has given a big surprise to the fans on the completion of 20 years of his superhit comedy franchise Golmaal. By sharing a post on social media, he has officially announced the start of shooting of ‘Golmaal 5’.
Rohit Shetty wrote in his post, “20 years ago, ‘Golmaal’ was released, a film that changed my life. Its full credit goes to all of you, the audience. In the last 20 years, we have entertained you a lot and sometimes disappointed you, but we always maintained honesty towards our work.”
He further wrote that now his brilliant team is once again ready to set out on a new journey. The director told that the shooting of ‘Golmaal 5’ has started and this time too his aim is to entertain the audience a lot. At the end of the post, he wrote, “Your love and support has always been there. Now we just need your blessings. See you in theatres.”
Actually, ‘Golmaal’ franchise is considered to be one of the most successful comedy series of Bollywood. It started with the first film Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, released in 2006. After this, Golmaal Returns (2008), Golmaal 3 (2010) and Golmaal Again (2017) also performed well at the box office.
The special thing about the franchise has been its comic timing, funny story and star cast. Artists like Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Tushar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Khemu are usually seen in this series. However, official information about what will be the final cast in ‘Golmaal 5’ has not been revealed yet.
After this announcement of Rohit Shetty, fans have become quite excited. Many users commented on social media and said that they are waiting to see the fun of Golmaal Gang once again.
